An independent primeval British Hi-Fi brand that has been doing its thing for almost 50 years, regardless of all trends. Rega Research was founded in 1973 by Roy Gandy. His passion for music and technology quickly translated into the development of modified turntables, followed by his own designs which are still the basis for all Rega products today. In the 1980s Rega also launched its own elements, loudspeakers and amplifiers. As one of the last Hi-fi manufacturers to jump on the bandwagon, Rega launched a CD player, the Planet, in 1994, no less than a milestone. Today Rega exports to more than 50 countries and produces an average of 3,500 turntables per month. All Rega products are still designed and manufactured in Rega's own factories in Southend-on-Sea, United Kingdom. The now 30,000 square meter production facility employs 110 enthusiastic Rega employees. Rega continues to grow and develop new products, all with the same original philosophy. Excellent build quality, long service life and amazing value for money.
